"比丘们,具足五法的比丘修习入出息念不久便能证悟不动。哪五法?在此,比丘们,比丘少欲、少事、易养、知足于生活资具;少食,不贪食;少睡眠,致力于觉醒;多闻、持闻、积闻,对于那些初善、中善、后善、有义、有文、圆满清净、显示梵行的法,他多闻、忆持、熟习、心中思惟、以见善通达;如实观察已解脱之心。比丘们,具足这五法的比丘修习入出息念不久便能证悟不动。"第六。
7. 谈论经
"比丘们,具足五法的比丘修习入出息念不久便能证悟不动。哪五法?在此,比丘们,比丘少欲、少事、易养、知足于生活资具;少食,不贪食;少睡眠,致力于觉醒;对于那些有益于削减、开启心意的谈论,如少欲谈论......解脱知见谈论,他容易获得、不难获得、不艰难获得;如实观察已解脱之心。比丘们,具足这五法的比丘修习入出息念不久便能证悟不动。"第七。

Tassa evarūpo attabhāvapaṭilābho hoti – seyyathāpi nāma dve vā tīṇi vā māgadhakāni [māgadhikāni (sī. pī. ka.)] gāmakkhettāni. So tena attabhāvapaṭilābhena neva attānaṃ [nevattānaṃ byābādheti (sī.)] no paraṃ byābādheti.

Atha kho kakudho devaputto yenāyasmā mahāmoggallāno tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā āyasmantaṃ mahāmoggallānaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ aṭṭhāsi. Ekamantaṃ ṭhito kho kakudho devaputto āyasmantaṃ mahāmoggallānaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘devadattassa, bhante, evarūpaṃ icchāgataṃ uppajji – ‘ahaṃ bhikkhusaṅghaṃ pariharissāmī’ti.
